December 23rd, 2009Thee Armada kablooey

Thee Armada has announced that they are breaking up. The band will play one last farewell show in Houston in January.

Amber Pacific have announced that they have signed to Victory Records.

Right now the “You Gotta Believe” EP by The Rocket Summer is burning up the charts. The “You Gotta Believe” EP was released October 26, 2009 on Island Records. Buy it at The Rocket Summer - You Gotta Believe - EP.

Seems like breaking up is contagious.

Yesterday, Armor For Sleep confirmed that they broke up in a myspace blog post, and then today Copeland announced that they are planning to break up. I wonder if this means that Aaron Marsh will take a more involved role in Stephen Christian’s project, Anchor & Braille?

The video for the latest single from Thursday is now streaming. “Circuits of Fever” is featured on the new album titled Common Existence, which is also now available at retailers around the country.

New this week is the latest Mayday Parade album, “Anywhere But Here.” Produced by David Bendeth (Paramore, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) and released on Atlantic Records, Anywhere But Here is the band’s second full-length album and their first on a major label. Considering that vocalist Jason Lancaster left after the last album (”A Lesson in Romantics”), the reviews at sites such as Sputnik Music and Alter the Press are predictably mixed, but lean mostly toward the positive. The first single is “The Silence,” which has been out for about a month now.

Track Listing:
1. Kids in Love
2. Anywhere but Here
3. The Silence
4. Still Breathing
5. Bruised and Scarred
6. If You Can’t Live Without Me, Why Aren’t You Dead Yet?
7. Save Your Heart
8. Get Up
9. Center of Attention
10. I Swear This Time I Mean It
11. The End

In a recent tweet Dan from Four Year Strong declared that the band is now finished tracking for the new record.

Apparently New Found Glory and Dashboard Confessional are doing a split 7″ together?

Chad Gilbert tweeted the following yesterday: “In the studio recording our Dashboard Confessional covers for our split 7 inch. Can’t wait to hear the NFG songs that Dashboard covers. Waiting on the rough mixes of the 2 dashboard songs we covered.”

Yesterday, Poison the Well posted a blog on their myspace confirming that their van and trailer were stolen while they slept. Luckily they made some calls and are able to continue the tour.
