End Transmission is an up and coming band from Southern California who just released their first album, “Devour” on Missing Words Records. They also have an earlier EP out titled “Head Over Heels.” Both feature unmistakably hook-laden songwriting with Ozma-esque melodies and synth. Although the Ozma comparison is warranted–after all, Devour was co-produced by Ozma guitarist Jose Galvez and also features contributions by bassist Daniel Brummel and vocalist Ryan Slegr–End Transmission distinguish themselves handily by trimming back on the organ and classic rock riffage and focusing on the songs. Standout tracks include “Talking in Circles,” “89,” and “Right Side of the Bed.”

The RX Bandits, released “Mandala” today, three years after their last release, “…And the Battle Begun.” “Mandala” is their sixth career full-length album but only their second on Sargent House, their current label. The album’s press release promises a more rock-oriented album with scaled back use of horns. It has already been a #1 best-selling album on Amazon MP3, after being leaked on the internet earlier this year. This one might be a nice surprise for the summer season!

Nothing Personal, the new album from All Time Low, isn’t officially released until tomorrow. However, it is already streaming online at MTV’s The Leak. The album includes twelve tracks including the singles “Weightless” and “Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t)” which are available at iTunes.
All Time Low is currently out on Warped Tour and early buzz for the new album is extremely positive. They might top their previous chart positions.
